LaChelle Wilborn

LaChelle Wilborn obtained a B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Hospitality Management at Tuskegee University. She also holds a M.S. and Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VA Tech). Most recently, she completed the Licensure Program in Business and Information Technology (6-12) and Marketing Education (6-12) Initial Licensure Program at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC.

As an educator, LaChelle over 20 years of full time academic instruction at the college level and 3 years at the high school level with an established record of outstanding teaching; high student placement; and successful program and curriculum development. She also has a passion for academic advising; conducting professional development; and dinning and business etiquette workshops as a trained hospitality and general business educator.

Royall M. Mack, Sr.

Royall M. Mack, Sr. is a retired corporate officer with the Gillette Company in Boston, MA and is a veteran of sales, finance, marketing and product development functions world-wide.  Prior to retirement, he was named Corporate Officer and Sr. Vice President of Civic Affairs where he led Gillette’s Philanthropic programs worldwide.  Royall has served on numerous boards and community organizations including Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc., Boston, MA; Executive Leadership Council and Foundation, Washington, DC; National Black College Hall of Fame Foundation, Atlanta, GA; College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Board, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro, NC.

Royall earned his Bachelor of Science in History from North Carolina A&T State University, attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University, and holds an honorary Doctorate of Humanities from North Carolina A&T State University.

Royall is a powerful speaker and motivator. He has been married for over 38 years, has five children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Bianka Reese

Bianka Reese is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Maternal and Child Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where her research explores the many factors that contribute to positive development among diverse youth. Bianka has several years of experience in the development, monitoring, and evaluation of community-based youth enrichment programs. She is passionate about equipping youth with the skills to foster healthy and successful transitions into young adulthood. Bianka holds a B.S. and M.S. in Public Health, also from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Valda Chauncey

Valda Chauncey holds a bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University and has been with Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiaries in a variety of sales and marketing positions in North Carolina, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and New Jersey. She is presently an Executive Area Business Specialist with Janssen, managing account relations for physicians, hospitals, and pharmacies in a rapidly growing region. Over the course of her more than 20-year career, she has earned a reputation for responding to customers’ needs and for service to her community both through her work and through service with volunteer organizations. She has frequently been recognized by corporate management and by members of her community for service to clients and community.

Charles J. Phillips

Charles J. Phillips is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School. He wrote and published his book, College: Why Should You Pay For It? I Didn’t, and has traveled throughout the country teaching students how to earn scholarships for college. Mr. Phillips has over 15 years of experiences in corporate America, in roles including chemical engineer, operations manager, sales representative, demand planning, and product management. He is passionate about helping students establish and achieve goals. Mr. Phillips is married, has three children, and lives in Morrisville, NC.

Classy Preston

Classy Preston holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas; a Master of Divinity degree from the New York Theological Seminary, New York, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from the Graduate Theological Foundation, South Bend, Indiana. Preston’s corporate career includes eighteen years with Bristol Myers Squibb, New York City where she was awarded the top leadership award, The Lee H. Bristol Award, in 1987. She spent six years with Duke Energy Company, Raleigh, North Carolina and made tremendous contributions in the corporate supplier diversity initiative. She also served as President/CEO of Communities in Schools of Wake County for four years where she expanded community based learning centers for children and families in public housing.

Pastor of Pleasant Grove Church in Cary, North Carolina since May, 1998, Pastor Classy has served on the Boards of: Triangle Family Services, North Carolina Business and Industry and Tourism Committee, the Raleigh Housing Authority Self Sufficiency Board, the Capital Area Soccer League, The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, The Family Place; and as a Junior Achievement Consultant for inner city youth; an adjunct professor in the Philosophy Department of St. Augustine College, Raleigh; and a participant in the Urban League Black Executive Exchange Program for college students. She has also served on the faculty of Apex School of Theology.  She has served on the Board of Triangle American Red Cross and a Champion for WakeMed Foundation. Pastor Classy is active with the NAACP, faith based initiatives, and other community projects that attempt to improve the quality of life for all citizens.

Dr. Preston has been married to Jay Preston for 40 years. They strive to be a reflection of Jesus Christ, in all dimensions of their lives.
